On Thursday, 13th November, the Clubhouse proudly unveiled its newly refurbished venue. After months of planning and improvement works, local dignitaries, representatives from key organisations, volunteers, partners, and supporters gathered to celebrate the transformation.
The event was attended by Executive Mayor of Croydon Jason Perry, Civic Mayor Cllr. Richard Chatterjee, Local MP Natasha Irons, and seven ward councillors, all showing their support for the Clubhouse’s important role in the community.
The refurbishment has created a brighter, more accessible, and welcoming environment, including a refreshed entrance and modernised décor. Guests praised the new look, saying it feels “lighter, warmer and more inviting.”
This transformation was made possible thanks to funding from the National Lottery Foundation, contributions from community funders, and the dedication of staff, volunteers, and supporters.
The Selsdon Community Clubhouse continues its mission to tackle loneliness, support wellbeing, and provide a safe, friendly space for local residents—particularly those over 60.
